Pathfinder Meeting November 8 at 6:30 pm

INDUCTION OCTOBER 21, 2ND SERVICE

1.  We will have Pathfinder Induction Practice on Thursday, October 19, at 6:30 pm in the Sanctuary.  (This is not in the calendar, Pathfinders were told at the meeting).       Please wear your field uniform (yellow t-shirts).      The practice should only last 30 to 45 minutes.   2.  Induction is this Sabbath, October 21, 2nd Service ONLY .  The Pathfinder Club will be sitting together in the Sanctuary.  Class A Uniform.   3.  Deacons for 1st Service on October 21 are still needed.  Please sign-up.      1st Service:  Annaliese Hampton      2nd Service:  Michael Pinto, Kevin Oyama, Yan Oyama, Noah Mata, Andrew Cairus, Devan Belleau, Giselle Castro.   4.  Picnic Potluck after Induction at 2:00 pm at Hulda Crooks Park .  Please bring food you signed-up for.  Also bring camp chairs or a blanket. Pathfinder Meetiing

This is a reminder that we have our first Club Meeting  this Wednesday, September 13 at 6:30 pm sharp  in the Small Fellowship Hall.  If you have not registered already, you can download the forms, fill them out, and then submit them with your registration fees that evening.   We will also have uniform patches for your Class A Uniform to purchase and also the yellow Field Uniforms.   The last day to sign-up for the the Pacific Union Camporee for the regular rate is at the meeting, September 13.  After that, the rate is increased by $10.00.  We will be purchasing the rest of the tickets on Thursday, September 14, and there will be NO REFUNDS.   Please bring your journals to the meeting tomorrow if you received one at the last meeting in May.   The Pathfinder families have an opportunity to help other families in need.  On Wednesday, September 13 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm , bring your donations to the Fellowship Hall.  Keep updated with the Pathfinder Club blog at www.az

Pathfinder Vespers

This is a reminder that we have Pathfinder Vespers this Sabbath, September 9 at 5:00 pm in the Church Sanctuary.   Please wear your yellow field uniform if you have one.  We will have some refreshments after the service.   See you all there.  We are looking forward to a new year with the Pathfinder Club.   Directors Geoffrey & Vivian

Pacific Union Conference Camporee

The Pacific Union Conference has  extended the deadline for purchasing tickets without penalty. The Pacific Union Camporee is October 4-8, 2017.  If you would like to attend the Camporee, please let us know by Wednesday, September 13 at the 1st Meeting .  We will be purchasing tickets on Friday, September 15 for the Azure Hills Pathfinder Club.  You will be able to pay at the 1st Meeting on September 13 for the PUC Camporee.        Camporee and Club cost is $120.00 per person by September 15.      Only Sabbath is $35.00 per person (no overnight camping)      Staff cost is $110.00      Staff cost for helping out beginning October 4 is $95.00   Camporee and Club cost will go up after September 15 to $130.00 per person.   Once you have committed to going and we have purchased your tickets, there are NO REFUNDS .   For those of you who would like to bring an RV, you can park in the parking lot and it would be dry camp.   Directors Geoffrey & Vivian

Upcoming Events

Teen Training Orientation (Voyager and Ranger Class) is Sunday,  August 13 from 10:00 to 12:00 pm in the Juniors Sabbath School Room. Pathfinder Registration and Parent Orientation will be Tuesday, August  15 from 6:00  to 7:30 pm in the Fellowship Hall.    First meeting is Wednesday, September 13 a t 6:30 pm in the small Fellowship Hall. Last Pathfinder Meeting

We have our last meeting this Wednesday, May 24 at 6:30 pm in the Large Fellowship Hall.  Unit in charge of Opening Exercises is the Learning Leopards Unit. You will have an opportunity to pick up your journals that you turned in along with the patches you earned if you were not at Investiture.  All Pathfinders still have an opportunity to work on their Progressive Classwork during the summer to finish your journals.  You also can work on any Advanced Classwork to earn the Advanced Ribbon Bar.   Directors Geoffrey & Vivian

Pathfinder Fair Details

May 21, 2017 8:00 am Be sure all are in CLASS A DRESS UNIFORM and that you are on your way to the Parade line-up area with banner, flags, and float. 8:30 am Check that each Pathfinder is ready for the parade. Give final instructions (eyes right, etc.) for parade. 8:45 am PARADE BEGINS - ready or not! Teens should go to the end of the parade after marching with their club to march with the Teen Coordinators. When you reach the end of the parade route take your guidons and banner to your booth. You will be directed where to park your float. The Pathfinders and staff are to gather at the assembly area. U.S. and Pathfinder flag bearers need to fall in behind their County Banner. Please help the Pathfinders to be quiet and respectful during opening ceremonies. 11:00 am Participate, eat and look. Judging begins - be sure your flags are in your booth. Make sure your Pathfinders are manning the booth 11:00 am to 1:30 pm. Have your Drill Team ready for entry at designate

Pathfinder Investiture

Pathfinder Investiture is Sabbath, May 20, 2017 at 5:00 pm in the Sanctuary.  Your Class A Dress Uniform is required.   All Pathfinders will be recognized for all their time and effort spent on progressive classwork and honors.   We will have a potluck after Investiture.  Please bring your dish that you signed up for. The Ranger Class and Explorer Class, please be at the Fellowship Hall at 3:45 pm to help set-up tables and chairs for the potluck.   Companion Class and Friend Class, please stay after potluck to help with clean-up.   If you participated in Airplane Modeling, Candlemaking, Glass Etching, Basic Sewing, or Decoupage this last year, please bring your craft to display during the potluck.   PATHFINDER FAIR (Change in time) Conference has changed the time to Sunday, May 21, 2017 at 8:00 am instead of 8:30 am.   Class A dress uniform.   It is located at La Sierra at the Southeastern California Conference Headquarters.   Parking at La Sierra Academy, or

Club Meeting

We have a meeting this Wednesday, May 10 at 6:30 pm in the Large Fellowship Hall.  Unit in charge of Opening Exercises is the Lemonade Lions.   Remember that May 10 is the last day to turn in the Honors and Progressive Classwork that you have worked on.  Also include any outside Honors that you have completed this year.   Director Vivian will be at the Fellowship Hall at 5:00 pm if anyone needs extra help with their Progressive Classwork.   Investiture is May 20 at 5:00 pm in the Sanctuary.  Class A dress uniform is required. Bike Ride Cancelled

Attention Azure Hills Pathfinders, It is with much regret that we have decided to cancel the Pathfinder Bike Ride to Huntington Beach.  We have made this decision due to expected rain and wind advisory for Sabbath afternoon and throughout the weekend.   Please remember that we are having our progressive classwork make up day on Sunday, May 7 from 9 am to 1 pm in the Juniors classroom.  Your journals will have to be completed by May 10 so that you can be invested this year.   Be sure to bring your Pathfinder class journal and pencil. Loading Trailer

The Pathfinder Club will be loading the trailer for the El Capitan campout on Tuesday, April 18 at 6:00 pm. Meet at the Pathfinder closet across from Primary 1 Sabbath School.  Your field uniform is not required.  Some Pathfinders may have packed them already.   Loading the trailer will be quick if we have a lot of hands to help.   Please check-in with Director Vivian so she can mark your attendance. April 12 Meeting

Pathfinder Meeting

We have a Pathfinder meeting Wednesday, March 22 at 6:30 pm in the Large Fellowship Hall.  Unit in charge of worship is Friends of Midnight Panthers.  Unit Leader is Tami Belleau, Captain is Jasmine Moses & Scribe is Gabby Sanchez. There is no honor classes this meeting.  Each class will be working on their Progressive Classwork.  We will have sign-ups for Honors at the meeting.  There is limited space for each honor.  Try to think of several you are interested in taking if one happens to be full. Morton's Peak Hike

The Pathfinder Club will be hiking this Sabbath, March 11 at 2:00 pm at Morton's Peak.   We will begin the hike at the trailhead of Mortons Peak.   The hike is about 6 miles total, and is medium difficulty .   The trail is a dirt trail, not paved.  It is located off highway 38 on Warm Springs Road.   The turn off is a left hand turn and it will be before Thurman Flats picnic area.    For parking, there is an Adventure Pass Required.   You can purchase a pass at the ranger station or other vendors at this link https://www.fs.fed.us/portalda ta/r5/ap/r5-ap-vendors.php If you have a 4th grader in your family, I have attached a link for passes:  https://everykidinapark.gov/ge t-your-pass/ We recommend carpooling, because there is limited parking available.   Please wear your yellow club t-shirt and carry your own water and snacks.  There is a Porto potty at the top of the trail.   See you all at the trailhead.   Directors Geoffrey & Vivian

Pathfinder Meeting this Wednesday, March 8 at 6:30 pm in the Small Fellowship Hall.  The Leaping Lions are in charge of Opening Exercises.   We will continue accepting payment for El Capitan Campout for April 21-23.  Pathfinders are $40.00 pp.  We accept cash or check. Pathfinder Help-a-thon

We will be preparing for our Help-a-thon on this coming Sabbath, February 11 at 4:00 pm in the small Fellowship Hall.  The activities will be preparing and designing cards and also bagging up cookies for individuals.  That will be followed by a short worship together to close out the Sabbath.  If you are able to, please bring 1 dozen cookies (home baked or store bought) to contribute to our event.  Field uniform (yellow t-shirts) should be worn.   Then on Sunday, February 12 at 2:00 pm we will meet on the stage of the Fellowship Hall.  Please be mindful that the main Fellowship Hall will be hosting a memorial program.  Please enter through the back of the church (by tennis courts).   We will assign units to deliver the cards and cookies to the following locations:  (we will leave the church parking lot by 2:15 pm) Linda Valley Assisted Living, address is 25393 Cole St., Loma Linda  Grand Terrace Health Care Center, address is 1200 Mount Vernon Ave., Grand Terrace   Cla

Loma Linda Academy has just canceled their plans for using the Fellowship Hall and small Fellowship Hall. Pathfinder Meeting

Hello Pathfinders,   The church needed the Pathfinder Club to change our meeting room from the small Fellowship Hall to CMC1 (small Kitchen) just for the next meeting.  Loma Linda Academy will be using the Fellowship Hall.
