First Meeting - A great start!

First Meeting - A great start! Over 30 Pathfinders attended the first monthly meeting. Teachers Mike and Ellen had everything in order and we had a wonderful and fun meeting. Pathfinders were divided in 7 smaller groups and had the chance to pick a name for their groups. Each Pathfinder were given a folder where activities and printed material for the year will be kept.
We are officially a Pathfinder Club!   We had our first meeting, we have been blessed by the Azure Hills Church family and we had our first outing.  Thank you all for making this day great!   I would like to express great gratitude to those brave and devoted Pathfinders who braved the triple digit temperatures on Sabbath afternoon. You all deserve a Severe Weather Hiking Honor for your courage and dedication!  It was through God's grace that we did not experience any major issues. I am glad that everyone had a great time (in spite of the extreme heat). Well at least we can claim that we were tempered by fire!!! ;-)

The weather could have been better, but then again, it could have been worse. We had sunshine most of the morning and part of the afternoon. By 3 pm the visibility was very poor, but some of you just kept going! Brave ones! I hope you all had a safe drive back home (and are back in school today -- I'm back to work!). Michael and Thomas , you two are going to be great snowboarders some day. You're already leaving your parents behind! Summer , you get better and better every time you go skiing. Maybe someday you'll try snowboarding? Jenny and Gaby ...boarding part of the day and skiing part of the day...you showed that "you got skill" Chris -- well, you and your brother are the "terrors on the slopes" -- fearless just like your dad Emily, you are a good skier. You can keep up with the best of them. Maybe ...
