Pathfinder Meeting

We have our Pathfinder Meeting this Wednesday, February 22 at 6:30 pm in the Fellowship Hall.  The Golden Cheetahs are in charge of Opening Exercises.
 
1.  We will be accepting payment at the meeting for El Capitan Campout for April 21-23.  Pathfinders are $40.00 pp.
 
2.  Sign-up on Wednesday for the hike on March 11.  We will meet at the trailhead of Mortons Peak at 2:00 pm.  The hike is about 6 miles total, and is medium difficulty.  It is located off highway 38 on Warm Springs Road.  For parking, there is an Adventure Pass Required.  You can purchase a pass at the ranger station.  If you have a 4th grader in your family, I have attached a link for passes:  https://everykidinapark.gov/get-your-pass/
 
3.  Teens: 

a.  Teens sign-up for the backpacking trip.  The trip is on March 17-18.  Camping is at White Water Preserve and hiking to Mission Creek Preserve.
 
b.  Sign-up for the Conference Teen River Trip.  It is March 30-April 2, Thur.-Sun.  The Conference requires only for invested teen that have passed swim check-off and intermediate swim honor.  The camp is at Pirates Cove on the Colorado River 11 miles South East of Needles on interstate 10.

Beach Vespers

Friday, September 7 at 4:00 pm  -   Our first event is vespers at Huntington Beach. We will try to get a fire pit near the Santa Ana Bike Trail where there is a chain link fence (LOT 0).  When arriving at the  beach , the parking lot entrance will either be at Brookhurst Blvd. or Magnolia St.,  whichever one is open.  See map attached.  We will be at Lot 1, Lifeguard Station 2. If the Pathfinder needs a ride, please let us know, and we will try to arrange transportation. The parking fee is usually $15 to $20 per car. Last Pathfinder Meeting

We have our last meeting this Wednesday, May 24 at 6:30 pm in the Large Fellowship Hall.  Unit in charge of Opening Exercises is the Learning Leopards Unit. You will have an opportunity to pick up your journals that you turned in along with the patches you earned if you were not at Investiture.  All Pathfinders still have an opportunity to work on their Progressive Classwork during the summer to finish your journals.  You also can work on any Advanced Classwork to earn the Advanced Ribbon Bar.   Directors Geoffrey & Vivian

Pathfinder Registration is open.  Please fill out the Registration form and Consent/Waiver form and submit with payment at the 1st Meeting on August 10.  The cost is $50.00 per pathfinder.  That includes the $10.00 insurance requirement.  The Class A uniform patches and t-shirts are separate.  We are upgrading the t-shirts to comply with the conference.  The cost for a t-shirt is $6.00.  We will be renting out available uniforms (what ever is left in stock) and t-shirts for the year.  Please donate used uniforms to the club.
