Pathfinder Help-a-thon

We will be preparing for our Help-a-thon on this coming Sabbath, February 11 at 4:00 pm in the small Fellowship Hall.  The activities will be preparing and designing cards and also bagging up cookies for individuals.  That will be followed by a short worship together to close out the Sabbath.  If you are able to, please bring 1 dozen cookies (home baked or store bought) to contribute to our event.  Field uniform (yellow t-shirts) should be worn.

Then on Sunday, February 12 at 2:00 pm we will meet on the stage of the Fellowship Hall.  Please be mindful that the main Fellowship Hall will be hosting a memorial program.  Please enter through the back of the church (by tennis courts).

We will assign units to deliver the cards and cookies to the following locations:  (we will leave the church parking lot by 2:15 pm)
Linda Valley Assisted Living, address is 25393 Cole St., Loma Linda
Grand Terrace Health Care Center, address is 1200 Mount Vernon Ave., Grand Terrace

Class A uniform (dress uniform) should be worn.  Sash or neckerchief is not required.  If Pathfinder is ill, they should not attend this event for we are visiting the elderly.

Parents will need to transport their Pathfinders to their assigned location.  Assignments will be made based on attendance Sunday afternoon.
The Pathfinders will be escorted by the Activity Director to deliver the cookies and cards.  Pathfinders please be prepared to visit a few minutes with each resident.  Each establishment has authorized us to bring cookies, and they will take care of any allergy concerns.

After you have all finished visiting and distributing your cookies and cards, the Help-a-thon event is completed.   Should be done by 4:30 pm.  Pathfinders are dismissed to go home.
Hope you all can be a part of this community service.

Outreach Activity at Reche Canyon Rehab Center

The residents of Reche Canyon Rehab Center had a musical treat this past Saturday. The Pathfinders sang and played their instruments and at the end interacted with all of them. Thank you to the parents who were present and sang with us. Good job Pathfinders! May God bless you all and continue developing your musical talents for His honor and glory and for the good of others. See below for the pictures of this event.

The Pathfinders had lots of fun participating on the Presidential Physical Fitness Challenge. Congratulations to all Pathfinders who completed the challenge.

Rock Climbing

Rock Climbing Click on picture for Photo Album The Pathfinders had a lot of fun this last Sunday (March 20th) at Tresh Hold Climbing and Fitness Center in Riverside. About 20 Pathfinders participated on this activity and all of them were excited learning how to belay and tie proper knots into their harness. We all learned how to trust each other since we had to "let go of the wall" and hang from the rope while our partner at the bottom would slowly lower us.
