Pathfinder Registration is open.  Please fill out the Registration form and Consent/Waiver form and submit with payment at the 1st Meeting on August 10.  The cost is $50.00 per pathfinder.  That includes the $10.00 insurance requirement. 

The Class A uniform patches and t-shirts are separate.  We are upgrading the t-shirts to comply with the conference.  The cost for a t-shirt is $6.00.  We will be renting out available uniforms (what ever is left in stock) and t-shirts for the year.  Please donate used uniforms to the club.

Uniforms

The Pathfinder uniform is the most visible item of the Pathfinder program. It is worn to help provide the consciousness of belong to a real international organization that stands for noble ideals and represents the Seventh-day Adventist youth of today. It proudly proclaims, “I belong”! Pathfinders come from all backgrounds, but when they are in uniform, all differences are wiped out…they are Pathfinders.
The Pathfinder uniform can stimulate loyalty, build morale, and club spirit. Each insignia on the uniform has a special meaning, therefore proper placement and attachment is important. Uniforms should be worn:
  • At all Pathfinder meetings
  • At special Pathfinder services and events (Pathfinder Sabbath, Camporee, Fair)
  • While engaging in witness activity, or community service such as Ingathering, distributing food baskets, flowers, literature, etc.
  • At any public gathering when any or all act as: Messengers, Ushers, Guard of honor, Color Guards

Class “A” (Full Dress) Uniform

Pathfinders and Staff:
  • Khaki Shirt
  • Black Slacks – straight leg (not skinny, baggy or cargo pant design), belt loops, no cuff (uniform within club)
  • Black Pathfinder belt
  • Black socks and shoes
  • Black Honor Sash
  • Yellow Pathfinder Scarf and Slide

Master Guides:
  • Khaki Shirt
  • Green Slacks or Skirt
  • Black Pathfinder belt OR Master Guide belt
  • Black socks and shoes
  • Green or Black Honor Sash
  • Yellow Master Guide Scarf and Slide

Rock Climbing Click on picture for Photo Album The Pathfinders had a lot of fun this last Sunday (March 20th) at Tresh Hold Climbing and Fitness Center in Riverside. About 20 Pathfinders participated on this activity and all of them were excited learning how to belay and tie proper knots into their harness. We all learned how to trust each other since we had to "let go of the wall" and hang from the rope while our partner at the bottom would slowly lower us.

20-Mile Bike Ride

20 Mile Bike Ride Click on picture for Photo Album Last Sunday (Dec 12, 2010) was a beautiful day. The weather was perfect with temperature in the middle 70s, perfect for the bike ride. For those of you who joined us congratulations for completing the 21.2 miles. Consider this as a training for the 50-mile bike ride to take place on Sunday, March 20, 2011 (in place of rock climbing). This will complete the requirements for the Cycling Honor. NEXT ACTIVITIES Caroling at Grand Terrace When: Sabbath, December 18 @ 2:00 pm Where: Grand Terrace neighborhood. We will be joining the church outreach group in this activity. You have the option of coming to church at 2 pm (meet in the Fellowship Hall) or staying after the 2nd church service for a potluck lunch. If you are planning on staying for the potluck, please bring a dish enough to feed 10-15 people. It could be an entree, salad or desert. Attire: Class A uniform (formal uniform). Outreach Activity at Reche Canyon Rehab Center

The residents of Reche Canyon Rehab Center had a musical treat this past Saturday. The Pathfinders sang and played their instruments and at the end interacted with all of them. Thank you to the parents who were present and sang with us. Good job Pathfinders!
