Announcement of upcoming activities



Induction Service
Date: Sabbath, September 15, 2012
Time: 11:30 (2nd Service)
Place: Azure Hills Church
Type A Uniform (dress uniform)

Note: All pathfinders are to be seated on the reserved pews on the piano side of the church. After the service, we will take a group picture on the stage and steps


5-Mile Hike
Date: Sabbath, September 15, 2012
Time: 3:30 pm – 5:30 pm
Place: The Claremont Canyon Loop
Address to the Claremont Canyon Loop trailhead: 4060 North Mills Ave., Claremont, CA 91711

Note: There is a small parking lot at the trailhead. You can also park along Mills Ave. or in the larger parking lot on the right side along Mills Ave. We will assemble at the trailhead at 3:30 pm. We will have a brief devotional and group picture at the halfway point.

What to wear:
Type B Uniform (Gold T-Shirt)
Socks and comfortable hiking shoes or boots
Sun block
Hat/visor – optional

What to bring:
Water (preferably in a camel back-pack)
Snacks
Optional – Hiking poles, camera

Note: This is one of the requirements of the Hiking Honor. If you already have the Hiking Honor, you are still welcome to join us

Ready for the first Pathfinder's meeting?

We had a nice registration evening last Tuesday (8/17). Almost 40 Pathfinders registered for the 2010-2011 year. Some of these Pathfinders are being promoted from Adventurers, others have been with the club for some time and there is a special group of new kids joining the club for the first time. We would like to welcome all to the club and we are looking forward to know you better. If you would like to join the club and didn't have a chance to come during the registration evening please contact the directors Mike and Ellen as soon as possible. Please email them at mesabangan@sbcglobal.net to learn what you need to do. Our first meeting is September 1st at 6 pm at Azure Hills Church. Instructor Ed Dinger will be teaching the Cycling Honor. Rock Climbing

Rock Climbing Click on picture for Photo Album The Pathfinders had a lot of fun this last Sunday (March 20th) at Tresh Hold Climbing and Fitness Center in Riverside. About 20 Pathfinders participated on this activity and all of them were excited learning how to belay and tie proper knots into their harness. We all learned how to trust each other since we had to "let go of the wall" and hang from the rope while our partner at the bottom would slowly lower us.
