El Capitan State Beach Camping

What a fun time it was, and what a wonderful weather... The Pathfinders once more enjoyed the beautiful scenary of Santa Barbara and Goleta, CA. Some Pathfinders were not able to go with us this year but the ones who did we are pretty sure they enjoyed it very much.
Enjoy the pictures!

Here is a letter from Director Mike:

Dear Pathfinders and Pathfinder Parents,
I hope you all have had a good week. I was proud to see all of you participate during our El Capitan campout. All the cooking, dishwashing, and camp duties were done well. Your tents were neat and tidy (for the inspections at least). You all have used your camping skills to set up and properly put away the tents and camping equipment. Most of all, you took the challenge of being responsible not only for yourselves but for each other. It was nice to see the beauty of the beach and surrounding hills, all your smiling faces, and watching each of you cook your bread on a stick meal!!

A special thanks goes out to the Ashlock family who allowed us to use their vehicle to tow our trailer to El Capitan and for bringing wood for the fire pit, to Daniel Krall for playing Taps and Reville, to Pastor Dante for all those wonderful devotional talks, to Ernie and Thomas for playing their guitars during worship, to the Makowski family for also providing wood for all of us to enjoy all weekend, to the Jimenez family for the surprise ice cream treat, and to all the parents who came to help guide the Pathfinders during their various duties. I also want to thank my awesome deputy directors Mark, Paulo, and Nanci for their hard work and dedication to our Pathfinder Club!

Just a reminder to please make sure your Class A dress uniform is complete. You will be wearing them during the Investiture and most definitely during Pathfinder Sabbath on May 14

We would like to practice the song for Pathfinder Sabbath at 4:15 pm before the Investiture. So please come early!

Investiture is scheduled for Sabbath afternoon on April 30 at 4:30 pm in the Main Fellowship Hall.

Drinks and light refreshments will be provided.

We will also be confirming those who will be completing their Biking Honor. The 50 mile bike ride is scheduled for the next day. We are to meet behind Souplantation in San Bernardino @ 700 am. Please plan ahead and get your bikes ready for this event. Also remember the Pathfinders who ride will be treated to eat at Souplantation after the bike ride.

Happy Sabbath to all and enjoy this Easter weekend!
