Dear Pathfinders, Parents, and Pastors:

The big weekend has come and gone and what a weekend it was!
When we first arrived there the wind was blowing. It was hard to pitch our tents because the wind was so strong it was blowing our tents and the Pathfinders (and even the parents helping) away! Many of us were praying that the wind would calm down for the rest of the week. And our God, who is the God of the wind and the waves, answered our prayers. Sabbath morning dawned cool and calm. I'm glad we serve Him, the God who is so powerful that even the winds obey Him; and even in all His power and might, He stoops down to hear our simple prayers. So, our first praise and thanks always go to Him.

Pathfinders, it was a joy to see all of you there. I missed the rest of you who couldn't make it for whatever reason. Maybe next year you will be able to join us.

I'd like to thank all the Pathfinder groups for meals well cooked and prepared, dishes washed and dried, and camp grounds cleaned and organized. I had fun and I hope you all did, too. Thank you all for a great weekend!

We are officially a Pathfinder Club!   We had our first meeting, we have been blessed by the Azure Hills Church family and we had our first outing.  Thank you all for making this day great!   I would like to express great gratitude to those brave and devoted Pathfinders who braved the triple digit temperatures on Sabbath afternoon. You all deserve a Severe Weather Hiking Honor for your courage and dedication!  It was through God's grace that we did not experience any major issues. I am glad that everyone had a great time (in spite of the extreme heat). Well at least we can claim that we were tempered by fire!!! ;-)

Ready for the first Pathfinder's meeting?

We had a nice registration evening last Tuesday (8/17). Almost 40 Pathfinders registered for the 2010-2011 year. Some of these Pathfinders are being promoted from Adventurers, others have been with the club for some time and there is a special group of new kids joining the club for the first time. We would like to welcome all to the club and we are looking forward to know you better. If you would like to join the club and didn't have a chance to come during the registration evening please contact the directors Mike and Ellen as soon as possible. Please email them at mesabangan@sbcglobal.net to learn what you need to do. Our first meeting is September 1st at 6 pm at Azure Hills Church. Instructor Ed Dinger will be teaching the Cycling Honor. He is asking that every Pathfinder bring their own bike helmet to the meeting. Please take time to read the information packet you have received during registration. You may find a copy of the information at this page (right side column under ...
