Ski/Snowboarding Day

Hello Pathfinders and Parents!

Wow! I really enjoyed snowboarding yesterday. I hope you did, too.
The weather could have been better, but then again, it could have been worse.
We had sunshine most of the morning and part of the afternoon. By 3 pm the visibility was very poor, but some of you just kept going! Brave ones!
I hope you all had a safe drive back home (and are back in school today -- I'm back to work!).

Michael and Thomas, you two are going to be great snowboarders some day. You're already leaving your parents behind!
Summer, you get better and better every time you go skiing. Maybe someday you'll try snowboarding?
Jenny and Gaby...boarding part of the day and skiing part of the day...you showed that "you got skill"
Chris -- well, you and your brother are the "terrors on the slopes" -- fearless just like your dad
Emily, you are a good skier. You can keep up with the best of them. Maybe you can convince your mom to ski next time?
Kaylee, good job on finally taking the first step in becoming a skier. I'm glad you came.
Jake, you've transitioned from skiing to snowboarding well. Keep it up!
Julia and Kara, I'm glad you came. You are both fast on the slopes...someday you'll be faster than your parents!
Chloe, you're getting better on skis, too. You're doing so well, your parents were free to stay with your younger sisters!
Bailey and Daniel...I heard you were on the slopes. I'm sorry I didn't get to see you. I hope you both had fun!
Olivia, I'm glad you, your sisters, your brother, and your mom were able to make it. I didn't get to see you on the slopes (maybe you were too fast!), but I hope you and your family had fun.
Keilana, your dad says you're a good skier. I think he got tired trying to keep up with you! Glad you came. I hope your brothers and their friends had fun.
Victoria, I didn't know you could ski! I'm glad you still came even when your dad couldn't.
Hannah and Michelle, I can't wait for the time when you decide to try snowboarding!
Alyssa, it was nice seeing you and your friend, Ana.

Thanks to all the parents who came. Thanks, Ernie, for shooting footage and taking pictures. Thanks,Thomas, for taking charge of my kids. Thanks, Florence and Nanci, for keeping Ellen company. Thanks Sandy, John A., John C., Milton, Keri, Luis, Lisa, Barry, Coralie, Ed, Kevin, Dee, Holly, Cynthia, and Corey for joining us and providing a boundary of security for the children.

Maybe next time, those of you who were not able to come can join us.
