El Capitan 2009

15-mile Hike Dollar Lake - San Gorgonio

Pathfinders hiking at San Gorgonio Mountains (15 miles!) Congratulations to those who have completed the hiking honor! Our last trek to Dollar Lake was an outing we are certain you will always remember. The Lord was surely watching out for us, and He gave us wonderful weather that day. A special thank you goes out to the Lopez, Makowski, Pappas & Whitley families for driving to the trailhead. Thank you pathfinder Jenny and parents Sandy, Todd and Paulo Pereira for taking beautiful pictures from the hike. Of course we cannot forget the support of pastors Carmen Ibanez and Darren, and all the parents and the grandparent who climbed the mountain with us. It was truly a team effort.

Outreach at Loma Linda Ronald MacDonald House

Ronald MacDonald's House We were blessed with the opportunity to help those in need at the Ronald MacDonald House in Loma Linda. It was a blessing to see each pathfinder cheerfully working in the kitchen: cooking pasta, making sauce, decorating the cupcakes, mixing the lemonade, preparing the salad and cutting the bread. A special thank you goes to teacher Kim Knowlton for baking all the cupcakes we decorated for the outreach. ~*~

Hiking Honor - Loma Linda Hills

Pathfinders on their 5 mile hike at Loma Linda Hills Congratulations are in order to those who "survived" our first hike at Hulda Crooks Park (Loma Linda Hills). Thank you to teachers Paulo Pereira and Alan Michel for helping get the pathfinders prepared. Thanks also goes out to our song leaders pastor John Choi and teachers Thomas and Ernie Medina for helping us close the Sabbath with a worship service.
